Manuscript Preparation and Submission Guidelines

File Format

• Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
• PDF files may be uploaded only as supplementary materials and are not accepted as the main submission format.

Article Length

• Recommended manuscript length is between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
• Shorter submissions such as conceptual papers or viewpoint articles may be considered at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Title and Author Information

• The title should be concise, clear, and informative, accurately reflecting the content of the manuscript.
• All authors must be listed in the correct order at the time of submission.
• Institutional affiliations should reflect the institutions where the research was conducted.
• Institutional email addresses are preferred for correspondence.

Abstract and Keywords

All submissions must include a structured abstract not exceeding 250 words. The abstract should contain the following headings:

Required sections:

• Purpose
• Design/Methodology/Approach
• Findings
• Originality/Value

Optional sections:

• Research Limitations/Implications
• Practical Implications
• Social Implications

Authors must provide up to six keywords that accurately represent the main themes of the manuscript.

Article Types

Authors should select the most appropriate manuscript category during submission:

• Research Article
• Conceptual Article
• Literature Review
• Case Study
• Viewpoint or Debate Article
• Book Review

Headings and Notes

• Manuscripts should employ a clear and consistent hierarchical heading structure.
• Main headings must be bold; subheadings should be italicized.
• Footnotes or endnotes should be used sparingly and only when essential.
• All headings and subheadings must be numbered in a consistent and systematic manner throughout the manuscript.

Figures and Tables

• All figures and tables must be clearly numbered and accompanied by descriptive titles.
• High-resolution files should be provided where necessary.
• The approximate placement of figures and tables should be indicated within the manuscript.

Supplementary Materials

Supplementary materials such as appendices, datasets, multimedia files, or additional documentation may be submitted if they support the study but are not essential to understanding the main text. All supplementary materials must be provided at the time of submission and prior to acceptance.

Referencing Style

EBOR adopts the APA 7th edition referencing style.

• All references must be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.
• Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) must be included where available.
• The reference list must be arranged in alphabetical order by authors’ surnames.

In-Text Citations

Citations to other publications in the manuscript should be formatted as follows:

Single author: (Aydın, 2023)

Two authors: (Aydın ve Akın, 2022)

Three or more authors: (Erhan vd., 2022)

If an author has more than one study published in the same year, this must be indicated in the reference list. In the text, citations should be formatted as (Dibek, 2023a; 2023b)

Citations to specific pages should be formatted as follows:

Single page: (Aydın, 2020, p.9)

Page range: (Aydın, 2020, pp.7-14)

Different pages: (Crowley, 2020, pp.7, 14, 24)

 

Journal Articles

Surname, Initials., Surname, Initials., & Surname, Initials. (year). Title of the article. Journal Title, volume(issue), page numbers. DOI (if available)

Example;

Books

Surname, Initials. (year). Book title (edition number, if applicable). Publisher.
